A Clear Quartz tomb resides in a handmade sterling bezel, cradled by four delicate sparrow claws.

The first incarnation of this necklace was released on the anniversary of the passing of someone who was very integral in forming my imagination. In this way this piece, like its previous version, is a mourning piece, the stone a transmutation of memories, beauty and grief while the claws refer to the link between worlds. 

Tomb:

The pyramid shape of the stone suggests a tomb, a burial place where the ancient Egyptians laid their Pharaohs to rest. The design was suggestive of the descending rays of the sun and suggested a sort of stairway for the buried dead to ascend into the heavens Pyramids are also symbolically linked with the primordial mound from which the Egyptians believed the earth was created, having arisen from the lifeless waters of Chaos.

Quartz:

Quartz is a considered the 'Master Healer, and is known for its propensity to improve memory and bring clarity to the consciousness. In this way, it is also a helpful tool in meditation.

This jewel is hand cut and therefore may have small signs of the carver's hands along the edges. This has not been fabricated by a machine, it has been made by hand and therefore isn't uniformly perfect. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stone.
