Selket is an Ancient Egyptian Goddess of the Dead, Magic, & the Underworld. Crowned with a Scorpion, she was closely tied with them, considered to rule over all poisonous creatures and able to heal their venomous stings/bites, embodying venom as the antidote. Her roles included guarding the dead; the canopic jars that held the viscera of the dead gathered during the mummification process, as well as guiding souls through the Underworld realms. Her protective qualities stem from when she guarded Isis during childbirth, as well as protecting her son Horus from the scorpions and poisonous creatures of the marshes where he was born. Later, those same scorpions would become guardians to Isis, thus marking the Scorpion as a protective symbol as well as a destructive one, due to its deadly venom. This dual nature places the Scorpion in a circle of endless renewal and endless death, as Paracelsus said: ‘The Scorpion Cures the Scorpion.’

Our largest life cast Scorpion features a faceted tear gemstone set in place of its head, representing a vessel where the wearer’s grief, anxiety, uncertainty, fear, and other turbulent emotions can be absorbed by Scorpion. As a talisman, this highly tactile jewel assists in carrying these heavier feelings for the wearer and can be worn as a protective companion or as a striking statement piece.

Clear Quartz: Despite its ubiquitous accessibility within the crystal kingdom, clear quartz remains one of the most potent crystals one can own, considered to be the 'Master Healer' as it can be used to assist you with any issue. Thought to be a 'memory/record keeper' that enables recall of lost memories, it also helps amplifies spiritual pursuits and increases psychic awareness. The spherical shape, akin to the traditional 'crystal ball,'  has long been a symbol of divination and magic.

These particular clear quartz stones are *almost* completely clear. Some do have very slight inclusions that appear as thin ghostly white wisps. Because they are so limited, we can not accommodate preferences, but know that each stone is hand selected for its natural beauty. 

These jewels are hand cut and therefore may have very slight differences in size and may have small signs of the carver's hands along the edges. These are not fabricated by a machine, they are made by hand and therefore aren't uniformly perfect. The photographs accurately portray the quality of the stones and the cuts.
